Northwest Africa 16531 Lunar Fragmental Breccia

Petrography: This lunar meteorite is a polymict fragmental breccia of mostly anorthite, and pyroxene. Olivine, small Fe-Ni grains, and other opaques were identified using BSE images and EDS, but were not quantitatively analyzed. Melt textures are present with extensive micro-vesiculation throughout the matrix.
Geochemistry: Augite Fs19.5±0.3Wo39.7±0.4, Fe/Mn=54±2, n=4; Plagioclase An96.4±1.2Ab3.6±1.1, n=8.
